The Jailer’s Inn

The old Nelson County jail in Bardstown, Kentucky is now known as the Jailer’s Inn. However, at one time it was home to some of the worst criminals in the Commonwealth over the years. From John Dillinger to the vicious Murrell gang, the Nelson County jail held some of the most notorious lawbreakers in the country. Numerous hangings and lynchings also took place in the courtyard. Due to the jail’s history it’s no surprise that many believe it is one of the most haunted places in Kentucky. Join us for a deep dive into the history and hauntings of the Jailer’s Inn.
