Tennessee Ghost Stories: The Old Shelbyville Post Office

Built in 1913, the building on the corner of South Main and McGrew in Shelbyville, Tennessee was originally home to the Shelbyville post office. In 1965 the structure was thoroughly renovated and turned into a modern library. Today, the historic building on the square is now an antique mall.

Over the years people have claimed to see a lady wearing a dark dress in the back of the old library. Those that work in the building often hear strange noises as well as the sounds of doors opening and slamming shut. It鈥檚 also said that late at night heavy footsteps can be heard walking around the second floor of the building.
