Tennessee Ghost Stories: Grandale Manor

Tucked away behind an apartment complex and a grocery store in Antioch, Tennessee on the outskirts of Nashville you will find this historic Grandale Manor. The old house was originally located along Murfreesboro Road until the 1990s until it was moved a few hundred yards to make way for a Kroger.

During the War Between the States, the home was used by the Union as well as the Confederacy. In fact, it’s believed that Nathan Bedford Forrest and his men stayed in the structure after a successful raid on the Murfreesboro Square in 1863.

The old home is said to be haunted by the ghost of a man wearing a plaid shirt. The unsettled entity has been spotted walking though the home and has also been known to gaze out of the windows at night.
