Tennessee Ghost Stories: The Old Trinity Episcopal Church

Just outside of Mason, Tennessee you will find the Old Trinity Episcopal Church. The old church building was built by slaves in 1847 to replace a previous church that had burned down two years earlier.

The 170 year old house of worship had long since been abandoned when a group of five juveniles ransacked the abandoned church in 1994. After they got through wrecking the church, the kids turned their attention to the burying ground on the property and began desecrating grave markers and headstones.

Ever since the cemetery was vandalized, people have claimed to see lights floating around the broken headstones. Strange, loud guttural noises have also been heard coming from the property at night. Even stranger, some have claimed to have seen blood dripping from the eyes of a statue of the Virgin Mary in the cemetery.
