The Robertson County Museum is said to be one of the most fascinating places on the the Square in Springfield, Tennessee. Originally, the building was a post office that was retrofitted to hold the county’s museum.
Downstairs, where the war memorabilia is displayed you will find guns, uniforms and other items from various conflicts over the years. The playful spirit in the building seems to have a fascination with an old drum that is in a display case down there.
Employees who stay after dark occasionally will hear a drum beat echoing through the buildings basement. Whenever they go to check on the sound, it stops. Meanwhile the drum is still in the case and no one else is downstairs.
